GAWLIK, Stanley A., 82, of Kulas Road, West Warwick, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at Coventry Skilled Nursing Center.
He was the beloved husband of Helen F. (Slota) Gawlik, they had been married for 58 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John F. and Victoria (Maston) Gawlik.
Mr. Gawlik was employed at Almacs for 42 years before retiring. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, member of the Polish Falcons, SPRM American Legion Post #81, AARP Chapter 2210 and UFCW Local #328.
Besides his wife he leaves, two children, Carol Kszywanos and her fiancé Steve Robinson of Wyoming, RI and Stephen M. Gawlik and his wife Helen of Coventry; a brother-in-law, Rev. Canon Frederick Slota and two grandchildren, Gregory and Ashley Gawlik. He was the brother of the late John F. Gawlik.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at 8:45 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St., Coventry. Interment will follow with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-7 pm.
