Sister Mary Annella (her name when she was with us) was our principal at Mazapan School in La Ceiba, Honduras. I, too, consider myself very fortunate to have known Sister Annella. I always remember her sweet smile and kind eyes. She enriched our lives with her example and will live on forever in our heart and memories.

My family has wonderful memories of Sr. Winifred when she was Sister Annella and taught at Our Lady of Mercy School in the 1950s. Sr. Annella was kind and loving, and all who had the privilege of having her as their teacher were blessed. She is remembered dearly. May she rest in peace with the angels and saints.

A special person who I was fortunate to have as a guide in my life. As a child we do not realize the impact that people have on our lives until we are much older and have a time to reflect upon the lessons they taught us. Unfortunately as adults we do not make time to offer them our appreciation for the help they gave us along the way. I can still remember conversations I had with her as a young student and will always remember her compassion toward others. Your job here is done. You did very well and deserve all the rewards that await you. God Bless.

Another warm, compassionate woman left a legacy of kindness, faith and joy wherever she went. I am grateful to have known Sr. Winnie and her sister Jane. They were such gifts to all they knew. May God greet you with joy and welcome you to your next mission, Sr. Winnie.
