Francisco Rodriguez-Gutierrez

Francisco Rodriguez-Gutierrez, 64, of Warwick, formerly of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Charlesgate Nursing Center, Providence.

Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Pilar and Celestina (Gutierrez) Rodriguez. 

Francisco was a security guard at Miriam Hospital for twelve years before retiring.  He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran, enjoyed fishing, music, playing instruments and dominos.   

He is survived by five children, Gilbert Green of Providence, Elisha Rodrigues of Swansea, MA, Cindy Gianfrancesco of Warwick, Francisca Rodriguez of West Warwick and Francisco Rodriguez, Jr. of Pawtucket; two brothers, Orlando Rodriguez in Puerto Rico and Felix Rodriguez of Norwalk, CT; two sisters, Lucy Rodriguez in Arizona and Maria Antonia Rodriguez in Puerto Rico; twenty-one grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 12:30 pm in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Columbarium Committal Center, 301 South County Trail, Exeter followed by military honors.  (Guests may gather at 12:15 pm at the Administration Building parking lot on the right as you enter the cemetery).  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in his memory would be appreciated.   Information and condolences, please visit: www.henault-gallogly.com.
