Edna M. (Szymanski) Sambor

SAMBOR, Edna M., (Szymanski), 93, formerly of Washington St., Coventry, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, at Brookdale Smithfield. 

She was the wife of the late Stephen M. Sambor.  Born in Coventry, she was the daughter of the late John and Magdalena (Orlowski) Szymanski, she resided in the Anthony section of Coventry for most of her life. 

Mrs. Sambor was the proprietor of Edna’s Curly Q Hair Salon for over 40 years before retiring.  She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and enjoyed sewing.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie M. Ruzanski and her husband Paul of Attleboro, MA and Melanie C. Fleming and her husband Thomas of Auburn, MA, two grandchildren, Evan Ruzanski and Alissa Ruzanski.  She was the sister of the late Sadie Andruchow, Josephine Orlowski, Mary, Joseph, John and Stanley Szymanski.

Her visitation and funeral will be held Monday, May 16 2016 from 8:30-9:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St, Coventry.  Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.
