Love that smile! Sister was so patient with the mess I sometimes was at SXA. She helped me through the death of my father. Rest in peace, kind and gentle soul.

So sorry to hear of the loss of a beautiful, strong woman. I remember having her as a teacher my freshman year, and what an impact she had on my life with her dry sense of humor and her nurturing spirit. She will be sadly missed, and may her family find comfort and peace from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Sr. Michaeleen was my Latin teacher for three years and through her I took the national exam. She was very patient, kind and had a great sense of humor. My thoughts are with her family. RIP, Sister.

My freshman home room teacher (308) and Latin 1 teacher at SXA ('66) was Sr. Michaeleen. She certainly loved to teach Latin to us newbies, had us take the Natioinal Latin Exam (who knew there was such a thing?) and encouraged us to study Latin beyond that first year. I remember her with great fondness. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain!

Last Saturday night a great friend and religious sister passed away, Sister Michaeleen Hamilton, RSM. Sister was known to my family as Sister Peg. Sister Peg and her brother Father Hamilton spent many cookouts, holidays, and special occasions with our family. Father and Sister were great friends of my Mom. They were there in good times and bad. Words cannot express our sorrow on her passing.
Sister Peg now you know the joy of heavenly rest with our Lord. Thank you for touching our lives. Be at peace my dear friend. I know your parents and brother were at the gates of heaven to welcome you. We will miss you! Watch over us until we meet again.
