Zowena A. (Rapose) Hackworth

Zowena A. (Rapose) Hackworth, of Coventry, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, December 13, 2023 at Riverview Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.

She was the wife of the late Presley W. Hackworth.  Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Manuel and Virginia (Silva) Rapose.

Mrs. Hackworth was employed at Natco, Leviton Manufacturing and Providence Casting for many years before retiring.  She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan M. Bizzacco and her husband Robert of Johnston; a son, Roger A. Hackworth of West Warwick; four grandchildren, Amanda Bizzacco, Nicole Burdick and her husband Sean, Sarah Hackworth and Kyle Hackworth and two great grandchildren, Sean Burdick, Jr. and Juliana Burdick.  She was predeceased by several siblings.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral service in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick.  Interment will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Rhode Home Rescue (www.rhodehomerescue.org/) in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
