Veronica (Pacheco) Desautels

Veronica (Pacheco) Desautels, 83, of Hope, Rhode Island passed away Saturday, morning, April 19, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of Arthur E. Desautels for 62 years. 

Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Manual and Gloria (Amaral) Pacheco. 

Veronica was employed as a textile worker at Hope Fish Net in Hope, RI and Service Office Products in Warwick, before retiring. 

Veronica was a lifelong, dedicated parishioner at St. Anthony’s Church in West Warwick.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and she enjoyed spending quality time with her husband.  She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and doing crossword puzzles in her spare time.

Besides her husband she leaves three children, Arthur Desautels and his partner Carol Lockwood of West Greenwich, Kristen Devine and her husband Lawrence Devine of Coventry and Curt Desautels and his wife Michelle Desautels of Hope; seven grandchildren, Jessica and Rebecca Desautels, Jared (Amanda), Tyler and Danielle Izzi, Caden and Cole Desautels and great-granddaughter Lainey Izzi.  She was the sister of the late Katherine Beaudoin and the late Robert Pacheco.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.  Visiting hours Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Anthony Church, 10 Sunset Avenue, West Warwick, RI 02893, in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
