Barbara was born in Providence on June 2, 1937. Her parents were Wilfred and Veronica Marson in Coventry, RI where she shared a loving home along with two younger brothers, John and Bill. She was active in piano, guitar and was an exceptional singer and participated in several local county fairs in the 1940’s and 50’s, displaying her singing talents and vivacious personality.
Barbara graduated from Coventry High School and was employed in Arctic, West Warwick where she met her future husband, Paul F. Graham. They married after a whirlwind courtship and were very happily together for nearly 60 years until Paul’s death in 2019. Barbara was a loving and caring mother to six children and she found the time to be a fantastic cook, baker, homemaker, hair stylist for her own children and many nieces and nephews, seamstress for all her children, and imaginative costumer for school plays and Halloween. She also generously volunteered her time at Christmas bazaars at St. James Church, local and state election campaigns, and caring visits to her town’s senior centers throughout the years. She held the position of Vice Chair of the Democratic Party in West Warwick and served on the Kent County Water Authority, holding the position of Chairperson for several years.
Barbara was a positive light in every room and a wonderfully fun and supportive mother. Barbara is survived by her children, Mary E. Noons of South Kingstown, RI, Paul F. Jr. (Rebecca) of Charlestown, RI, Michael E. (Kim) of Fairport, NY, Matthew C. of Hollywood, FL, Joseph P. (Pamela) of West Warwick, RI and David R. (Nicole) of Monroe, CT. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, Christina Graham, Brendan Noons, Conor Noons, Michaela Graham, Jared Graham, Jack Graham, Luke Graham, Henry Graham, Elizabeth Graham, Elise Graham, and Abigail Graham.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 9:30 AM from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in SS. John and James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick. Interment will be private. Visiting hours Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
