PHILLIPS, Thomas A., 77, of Sheltra Avenue, Coventry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, August 25, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at home.
He was the beloved husband of Cynthia A. (LeBeau) Phillips, they had been married for 60 years. Born in Coventry, a son of the late William R. and Margaret (DeVere) Phillips. He was a lifelong resident of Coventry.
Tom was a batch maker at Hoechst Chemical Company for many years until retiring in 2004. He loved working outside on his property and enjoyed driving a school bus.
Besides his wife he leaves three children, Thomas A. Phillips and his wife Donna, Paul B. Phillips and Kimberly A. Senter and her husband Chad; two siblings, Robert Phillips and Helen Phillips; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Carr, Viola Burgess, Barbara Garro, Lylas Gorton, Anna Gorton, William D., George C. and Donald Phillips.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 9:00-10:30 in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Funeral Service and Interment will be private due to the pandemic (RI COVID Guidelines will be followed).
