Therese Y. (Lamoureux) Zwolenski

Therese Y. (Lamoureux) Zwolenski, aged 95, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 28, 2025, at Kent Hospital in Warwick.

She was the beloved wife of the late Bronislaus J. “Willie” Zwolenski, who passed in 1995. Born in Danielson, Connecticut, Therese was the cherished daughter of Arthur and Delvina (Lamoureux) Lamoureux. She spent the greater part of her life in West Warwick, creating lasting memories and friendships.

Mrs. Zwolenski dedicated many years working as a receptionist in the textile industry until she retired. She was a proud member of the Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus and a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church. Known for her love of family and friends, Therese also had a fondness for martinis, which added a touch of delight to gatherings.

Therese leaves behind her loving son, Charles J. Zwolenski; her two adoring daughters, Nancy Leahy and her husband John, and Cynthia Freelove and her husband Michael; four treasured grandchildren, Kelly Hersey, Matthew Freelove, Patrick Freelove, and Katie Leahy; and seven cherished great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Phyllis McCarthy; grandson, Thomas McCarthy, Jr.; and siblings, Gerard Lamoureux, Dora Carroll, Irene Knowles, Leo Lamoureux, and Jean Lamoureux.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry. Interment will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church in her memory would be appreciated.
