Sheila K. (King) Maynard, 74, of Hoover Street, West Warwick, passed away from complications of AML Leukemia on Sunday afternoon, July 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at Rhode Island Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of Paul E. Maynard, they had been married for thirty five years. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Ernest C. King, Sr. and Gloria A. (Matthias-Andrade) King. She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.
Sheila was employed as a medical records supervisor with the State of RI IMH for over thirty years before retiring in 1998. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of its St. Anthony’s Hope, loved spending summer days at the Bonnet Shores Beach Club and loved attending theater shows for over thirty years.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Tamara A. (Casimiro) Paulo and her husband Daniel; two step-daughters, Lyanne Perras and her husband Michael and Michelle Maynard and her husband James Weber; a brother, Norman J. King and his wife Carole and six grandchildren, Tanner, Teagan and Tristan Paulo, Cody and Coltin Perras and Sienna Weber. She was the sister of the late Ernest C. King, Jr. and Nancy King.
Her funeral will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 at 9:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00-7:00 pm.
