Rose M. (Leander) Malo

Rose M. (Leander) Malo, 94, of West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, February 9, 2024 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. Malo, Sr., who passed away in 1997. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rose (Vieira) Leander.  She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Mrs. Malo was employed with Bradford Soapworks for many years until retiring in 1981.  She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church, an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by a son, Arthur J. Malo, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Cami Malo, a granddaughter, Emily Malo and three great grandchildren, Caleb, Ella and Hadley Malo. She was the beloved mother of the late Samuel R. Malo, Sr., beloved grandmother of the late Samuel R. Malo, Jr. and sister of the late Cecelia Senerchia, Manuel Leander, Mary Malo and Mabel Copice.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 9:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.  Interment will be Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
