Ronald Moore Obituary

MOORE, Ronald, 74, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Riverside, RI, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021 at home with his wife by his side.

He was the beloved husband of Catherine E. (Donnelly) Moore, they had been married for forty-seven years.  Born in Mainleus, Germany, he was a son of the late Robert and Johanna (Kress) Moore.  He resided in Riverside for many years before moving to Venice in 2017.

Mr. Moore was an executive for the Boy Scouts of America for several years.  He was a Vietnam War era Army Veteran and a former communicant of St. Brendan Church.  A love of nature and of being outdoors were favorite past times of Ron's.  He was a true history buff who enjoyed sharing his knowledge of all the travel destinations explored by him and his wife, Cathy.

Besides his wife he is survived by brothers, Wayne and Norman Moore and sisters, Mabel MacIntyre and Shirley Andersen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Brendan Church, 60 Turner Avenue, Riverside (all State Covid-19 guidelines will be observed).  Due to the pandemic entombment with military honors will be private for the family.  In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Boy Scouts of America or Scholarship Foundation of East Providence.
