Roland Boisvert Obituary

Roland W. Boisvert, 98, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, October 13, 2024, at Riverview Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Coventry.

He was the beloved husband of the late Olga J. (Maciag) Boisvert, who passed away in 2014. He was born in West Warwick, a son of the late Frank D. and Juliette (Grandchamp) Boisvert. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Mr. Boisvert was a loan officer with the former Old Stone Bank, now Citizens Bank, for forty years before retiring in 1991. He was a World War II Army/Air Corps Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater stationed on Tinian Island Air Base. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church where he was a member of the choir, a former member of the West Warwick Lions Club and a former member of the West Warwick Draft Board. Following retirement, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of receiving his private pilot’s license.

He is survived by his three children, Karen M. St. Amand and her husband Alfred, David A. Boisvert and Diane E. Boisvert and two granddaughters, Alexandria and Jasmine Boisvert.  He was the brother of the late Edgar, Robert and Cleo Boisvert.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick.  Interment will follow with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
