Robert A. Morrow, Lieutenant, Yonkers Fire Department (Ret.) 84, of Coventry, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at home.
He was the beloved husband of Martha J. (Couture) Morrow, they had been married for forty-one years. Born in New York City, a son of the late Marion Bendick.
Lieut. Morrow served the City of Yonkers, New York Fire Department for thirty years before retiring in 1996 and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed watching Old Western movies, eating at restaurants and in his younger days he loved boating. He also loved his pet parrot, Pepere.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Shelley McGonagle; a son, Ronald A. Couture and his wife Lisa; four grandchildren, Jennie Marie, Mitchell, Robert, and Ronald, Jr.; a brother, Frank Morrow and his aunt Emily Bendick. He was the brother of the late Susan Morrow.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, with a funeral home prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
