Robert F. Gobin

Robert F. Gobin (Bob) 79, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024.

He was the beloved husband of Suzanne L. (Touchette) Gobin, they had been married for fifty-eight years. Born on July 27, 1945 in Springfield, MA to parents Hector and Roberta (Healey) Gobin. He was a resident of West Warwick for most of his life.

Mr. Gobin was employed at Amtrol, Inc. in West Warwick for fifty-three years until retiring in 2018 as Production Control Manger. During his time there, he was also part of the Junior Achievement Program and many leagues including softball, golf and bowling.

Bob was a life-long member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Phenix Sportsman Club where he enjoyed being surrounded by friends playing in pitch and pool leagues. He was the president of the West Warwick Semi Fast pitch league for many years. When Bob was not out with friends, he enjoyed wood working, building all types of furniture for his loved ones.

Besides his wife he leaves his children, Robert J. “R-Jay” Gobin and Bethany D'Abrosca and her husband Michael; four granddaughters, Brya Stewart and her husband Carter, Lexi D'Abrosca, Isabel D'Abrosca and Samantha Gobin; a great grandson, Cason Stewart and three brothers, Lawrence, Gary and Russell Gobin.  He was the brother of the late Cynthia Mailloux.
