Rita (Fecteau) Machon

MACHON, Rita, (Fecteau), 96, of Coventry, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of RI in Coventry. 

Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Rodolph and Eva (Marcotte) Fecteau.  She was a lifelong resident of the Pawtuxet Valley area.

Rita loved spending time with her family, was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.  She also loved listening to country music and dancing.

She is survived by her eight children, Dorothy Tavares, Judy Dell, Jane Hakanson, Joan James, Gail Otis, Mark Ballard, Pamela Lavoie and Renee Lavoie; a sister, Sylvia Nadeau; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Charles “Pete” Ballard, Claire Ballard and James Ballard and sister of the late Roland Fecteau.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.  Information condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
