Richard "Dude" O. Mazzur, III

Richard "Dude" Oldfield Mazzur, III, of Bradford, RI, previously of Block Island, passed away at home on Friday, November 28th, 2025.  He was son of the late Richard Oldfield Mazzur, Jr., of Maine and Rhode Island, and leaves behind his mother Marceline (Conley) of Block Island, RI.

Born on a navy base in Maine, Richard travelled across New England in his early life.  Living and surfing from Rhode Island to California and back, he settled in Bradford RI in 2012.

Richard was a machinist and mechanic for many years.  He previously owned Oldfield Automotive on Block Island where he enjoyed fixing cars for the locals, and working on his own antique muscle cars.  He enjoyed and owned many motorcycles as they were the "sound of freedom."

Richard is survived by his two daughters, Mettie and Sallie, two grandsons Elliot and Myles, all of West Warwick, sister Tamzen of Block Island, sister Samantha and her family of Vernon, CT, his cousins Andre and Michele, and his step-family Elaine and Gavin.  He leaves behind many friends and family all throughout the east coast who knew him as "Dude."

A celebration of life to be held in spring/summer 2026 on Block Island.
