Richard L. Bannister, 75, of Clyde Towers, 1021 Main Street, West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 4, 2023 at home.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Arthur and Alice (Demers) Bannister. He resided in the Pawtuxet Valley area for most of his life.
Richard was an automotive tire technician with Jennings Car Care for many years until retiring. Previously he was employed as a parts delivery driver with Interstate Diesel. Richard was a devout Catholic attending Mass daily at various churches and was a loyal member of the Legion of Mary.
He is survived by a brother, Donald A. Bannister of East Greenwich and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lucille Barrett.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, September 20, 2023 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in SS. John and James Church, Washington Street, West Warwick. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, contributions to SS.
