Rene J. Brouillette, 94, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Rachel L. (Richard) Brouillette for nearly seventy-three years. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Arsene and Yvonne (Harbeck) Brouillette.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Rene proudly served his country during the Korean War. He worked as a systems analyst for the port of Davisville in Quonset Point prior to relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, where he retired in 1986. Rene was an avid card player and most enjoyed playing poker. Rene was a dedicated father, grandfather and husband, who missed his wife every day since her passing in 2022.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Brouillette and his companion, Jo-Ann White, of Coventry; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Richard and Michael Brouillette and Janet Perry, grandfather of the late Matthew Brouillette, and brother of the late Raymond Brouillette.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in SS. John and James Church, Washington St., West Warwick.
