Rachel K. (Korn) Bousquet

Rachel (Korn) Bousquet, 65, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, August 20, 2025, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Bousquet, who passed away in 2022. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary (Lombana) Korn.

Rachel is survived by her two devoted children: Candice Chapin and her husband Curtis, and Bryan Bousquet, his wife Joselyn, and their son Alexander; and brother, Roland Korn.

Rachel worked as an ESL teacher’s aide in the Cranston School Department, where she built strong, lasting relationships with her students. She had a heart for helping, often going beyond the classroom to support her students. One of her favorite activities was teaching sewing in the after-school program at Bain Middle School. Her passion project involved sewing shorts and dresses for children in need across Latin America and Africa. Over the years, she sent hundreds of handmade garments through the church.

Rachel loved traveling with her family, exploring scenic New England and visiting National Parks around the country. She cherished adventures, particularly with her husband “Big” Bob by her side. Together, they enjoyed attending University of Rhode Island basketball games with close friends.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Rachel lived her beliefs through quiet acts of kindness, compassion, and generosity. She was known for her sweet nature and made friends easily through the school and her community. Her dedication to her family—especially her children—was unwavering.

Her funeral service and interment were private. Visiting hours were respectfully omitted.
