Paul Kevin McNamara, Jr.

Paul Kevin McNamara, Jr., passed peacefully Sunday on his 53rd birthday in Bonita Springs, Florida. He was born on May 12, 1971, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was raised in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Paul was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend; and above all a good man.

Paul made a career in IT/medical software. But his true passions were spending time with his daughters, practicing guitar and tirelessly defending the notion that Diehard was a Christmas Movie.  He graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School in 1989 and went on to further his education at the University of Rhode Island; graduating with a degree in Psychology in 1995.

Paul was a funny and good-hearted individual, known for his gentle soul and giving nature. He had a deep love for movies, Boston sports teams and bad 80s music. He cherished spending time with his daughters and was always involved in their activities; even if it meant getting his hair dyed blonde or wearing Yoda PJs. He volunteered at his Church Messiah Lutheran in Missouri where he assisted with the production team for Sunday services and always lent a hand where needed in his community of worship.

Paul will be deeply missed by his parents, Paul Sr. and Sandy (Castle), his brothers, Chris and Sean; his sisters-in-law, Heather and Colleen; his daughters, Lexi, Lily, and Gianna as well as nieces and nephews, Savannah, Spencer, MacLaren, Allie aka (Albert to Uncle Paul) and Willow.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. A Celebration of Life will take place thereafter. Interment will be private.  Visiting hours Friday, May 31, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick.

Paul's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He is no longer in pain. Our brother is finally at peace.
