Oliva (Moretti) Petrilli

PETRILLI, Oliva (Moretti), 89, of Fornelli Street, West Warwick, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at Kent Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of Francesco Petrilli, they had been married for 68 years. Born in the village of Monticelli, Esperia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giueseppe A. and Marianna (Fera) Moretti.

She worked many years as a machine operator at various textile industries in Rhode Island. After her retirement, she volunteered at the local food bank.

Besides her husband, she leaves her three children, Salvatore J. Petrilli and his wife April of Warwick, John Petrilli and his wife Terri of Warwick and Anna Mouchon and her husband Richard of Coventry; four grandchildren, Daniel Petrilli and his wife Kristina, Nicole Politelli and her husband Anthony, Sara Mouchon, and James Mouchon and three great grandchildren, Christopher Petrilli, Benjamin Petrilli, and Francesca Politelli. Her faith in God and love for her family always came first in her life and cherished being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a sister of the late Maria Mazzenga, and Angelo Moretti.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. in the PRATA GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
