Mike Robertson

ROBERTSON, Mike, 77, of Hope Valley, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at home.

He was the beloved husband of Judith “Judy” A. (Laurie) Robertson, they had been married fifty-two years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Bernard A. and Ruth (Keegan) Robertson.  He resided in Hope Valley for the past twenty seven years.

Mr. Robertson was employed as a Truck Driver for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for thirty-seven years before retiring in 2006.  He was a Vietnam War Navy Veteran, served upon the USS Norris.  During his time in the service he was awarded two medals; National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.  Mike was also a life member of the West Warwick American Legion Post 2 and served a term as Commander.  He enjoyed spending time with his pet Buddy.

Besides his wife, he leaves behind a daughter, Lori Robertson; seven siblings, James Donald Robertson and his wife Elizabeth of West Warwick, Margaret Ruth Webster (Robertson) in Virginia, Patrick Kevin Robertson of Warwick, Steven Charles Robertson in South Carolina, Bonnie Alice Lawrence (Robertson) and her husband Edward in Connecticut, Norman Sean Robertson in Virginia and Chris Matthew Robertson and his wife Maureen of Coventry and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the hospice nurse, Megan for her dedication and support.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by Inurnment with military honors at 12:30 p.m. in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  Memorial contributions to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI, 02907 in his memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
