Michele A. Brogno, 59, of Warwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday morning, October 10, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. A devoted mother, talented artist, and compassionate animal lover, Michele lived a life full of creativity, kindness, and joy.
Born in Providence, RI, she was the beloved daughter of Jacqueline A. (Lemoi) Sarandrea of Johnston and the late Michael G. Nassef, Sr. She was predeceased by her beloved stepfather Joseph Sarandrea, Jr.
After she graduated from Hope High School in 1983, she joined the Navy, serving until 1988. During that time, she was stationed in San Diego, CA as well as serving 18 months of active duty in Adak, Alaska.
Michele’s love for art was evident throughout her life. An accomplished photographer, she had an eye for capturing the beauty in everyday moments. Her work, whether it was a stunning landscape or a candid shot of a loved one, reflected her deep appreciation for the world around her. She was also known for her love of baking, often filling her home with the sweet aromas of delicious creations, sharing them generously with friends and family.
Many babies and young children began their lives in her loving arms and warm home, as she was a foster parent for several years. Michele’s gentle spirit extended to all creatures great and small. A lifelong pet lover, she had a special place in her heart for animals, and her home was always open to numerous pets.
Michele will be remembered for her warm heart, her artistic soul, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Besides her mother, she leaves three children, TJ Langdon of New Orleans, Mary Brogno-Constantine (Paul) of New Bedford, MA and William D. Brogno of Warwick, and two brothers, Andrew M. Nassef (Elizabeth) and Michael G. Nassef, Jr. (Cath Ann). She also leaves behind her nieces and nephew, as well as many close friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 from 8:00-9:15 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
