Michael G. Waldeck

Michael G. Waldeck, 57, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at home.

Born in Warwick, beloved son of Genevieve (Sacchetti) Murray of Warwick and the late David F. Waldeck, Sr.  He was raised in West Warwick before moving to Providence.

Michael was employed as a laborer with a carnival company for many years.  He also was employed as a cook at several food establishments including the former Niko’s Grill in West Warwick.  He loved spending time with family and was very helpful in the community always helping other’s that were less fortunate.

Besides his mother he is survived by his siblings, David Waldeck, Jr., Jennifer Ring, Stephen Waldeck, Penny Bellrose, Domenic Waldeck, Jim Waldeck and Rita Speight; two step-brothers, David and Keith Waldeck and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Waldeck.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that you please consider a contribution to offset funeral expenses.
