Michael George Parenty, Sr.

PARENTY, SR., Michael G, 53, of Coventry, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, February 6, 2021, at home. 

He was the beloved husband of Christine A. (Mahoney) Parenty, they had been married for twenty-one years.  Born in Warwick, he was the son of Laurianne H. (Beaudreau) Parenty of Coventry and the late George H. Parenty.  He was a lifelong resident of Coventry. 

Michael was employed for the past five years with General Dynamics, Electric Boat, Quonset Point and had previously worked as a machinist at Stanley Bostitch for thirty years.  Michael loved ice fishing and football.  He was a skilled gardener and especially liked growing large tomatoes and pumpkins and was an avid amateur meteorologist.

Besides his wife and mother he leaves behind three children, Michael G. Parenty, Jr., Colleen A. Fontaine and Zachary P. Parenty, all of Coventry; two grandchildren: Jordan Smith and Mason Parenty and four siblings; Rebecca A. (Parenty) Bond of Cranston, Shirley A. (Parenty) Ouellette of Coventry, Kenneth G. Parenty of Foster and Eric G. Parenty of Coventry.
