Mary E. Pratt

Mary E. Pratt, 88, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Kent Hospital, surrounded by the love of her devoted family.

Born in New Holland, Ohio, Mary’s journey brought her to Rhode Island, where she planted deep roots and built a life grounded in family, quiet strength, and enduring love. With a gentle spirit and unwavering grace, Mary dedicated herself to raising her children and nurturing those around her with kindness, wisdom, and compassion.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Roxanna L. Adams, Donna Pratt-Raine and her husband Bruce, and David E. Pratt and his wife Susan. Mary’s legacy lives on in her cherished grandchildren: Thomas David Pratt and his wife Maggie, Elizabeth Somer Raine, and Robert Allen Raine. She was predeceased by her former husband, Donald E. Pratt, with whom she shared many years and the blessings of family life.

In accordance with her wishes, funeral services and interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Mary’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105—a cause close to her heart.
