Mary J. Carani

Mary J. Carani, 58, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and care of her devoted niece, on Thursday morning, May 29, 2025.

Mary was the cherished wife of the late Gary W. Porter, who predeceased her in October 2024. Born and raised in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jeannette R. (Bruneau) Carani. A lifelong resident of Warwick, Mary held deep roots in her community and a strong connection to her family.

Mary dedicated many years of her life to the jewelry industry, where her meticulous attention to detail and artistic spirit shone brightly. After a fulfilling career, she embraced her well-deserved retirement, cherishing the simple joys of life and the company of her loved ones.

She is survived by her brother, Anthony J. Carani, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Mary was also predeceased by her siblings Jerome Carani, Antoinette Ross, and June Lynch, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished family bonds.

Mary’s funeral services and interment will be held privately, in accordance with her wishes. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are entrusted to PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
