Marshall B. Jenkins, 83, formerly of West Warwick, passed away Friday morning, September 15, 2023 at Brentwood Nursing Home, Warwick.
He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy G. (Lautieri) Jenkins for forty-seven years until her passing in 2018. Born in Clover, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Howard and Sallie (Stewart) Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins served eleven years with three separate branches of the military, Army, Air Force and Navy during the Vietnam War before retiring after eleven years of military service. Following his military career, Marshall was a machinist with Brown & Sharpe and General Dynamics, Electric Boat division in Groton, CT and retired after thirteen years from the West Warwick School Department. He was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by two children, Joseph G. Gardosik and his wife Paula of West Warwick and Laura E. Keith and her late husband Bruce of Acton, MA; four grandchildren, Joel Gardosik, Jill Gardosik, Ted Keith and Joe Keith; two great granddaughters, Aubrey and Brynn Gardosik and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Brenda Hinkle, Howard, Henry and Maxie Jenkins.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Interment with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
