She was the wife of the late William R. Diamonte, they were married for fifty-five years at the time of his passing in 2008. Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late Luigi and Jennie (Parente) DiCarlo.
Mrs. Diamonte was employed with Amtrol Inc. for thirty-seven years, the last twenty years as manager of Amtrol Employees Federal Credit Union before retiring in 1996. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann Sodality and a member of the Bazaar Committee. She was a member of the Ocean State Artisans, the Country Music Association of Rhode Island and the Social Justice Committee. She loved sewing and crafting, reading, country line dancing and listening to country music. She was known for being “dressed to the nines” at any occasion. Marie was a strong believer in the presence of Angels on Earth. Her passion was her crafting business, “Decorative Creations by Mrs. D.” which she had started with her late husband, William. She formed many wonderful friendships while traveling around participating in craft fairs. Marie’s greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her beloved son, Richard “Rick” W.
