Maria Gloria (Vieira) Estrela

ESTRELA, Maria Gloria, (Vieira), 85, of West Warwick, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel B. Estrela.  Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Alexandrina D. (Estrela) Vieira. 

Mrs. Estrela was a strong, loving woman whose greatest job was taking care of her family.  She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church in West Warwick.

She is survived by her children, Jose M. Estrela, Antonio M. Estrela, Maria Gloria Estrela, Maria M. Vieira and her husband Jamie, Lucy F. Barroso and her husband Jose and Paulo Estrela and his wife Sherrie; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Daniel M. Estrela, grandmother of the late Christopher James Vieira and sister of the late Manuel Vieira, Maria Bernardo, Adelino Estrela, Fatima Vieira and Jose Vieira.

Her funeral will be held Monday, March 15, 2021 at 8:30 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Anthony Church, 10 Sunset Ave., West Warwick.  Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours Sunday 5:00-7:00 pm in the funeral home (all State COVID-19 guidelines will be observed).
