Lucy A. (Aranzo) Rego

REGO, Lucy A. (Aranzo), 92, of the West Warwick Manor, 62 Roberts Street, West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry.

She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney A. Rego, who passed away in 1993.  Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Marcelina (Texiera) Aranzo.  She was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Mrs. Rego was a lace inspector with Valley Lace for many years until retirement.  She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed line dancing, movies, TV and crosswords.

She is survived by a son, Gary S. Rego and his wife Wendy of East Greenwich; two granddaughters, Christal Petrella and Vanessa Rego; two great grandchildren, Brooke and Jake; a great great granddaughter, Sophia and a sister, Lillian Martell in Michigan.  She was the sister of the late Alice Shadeck and Charles Aranzo, Jr.

Her funeral service and interment will be private.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the West Warwick Food Assistance Agency, 1293 Main Street, West Warwick, RI 02893 in her memory would be appreciated.
