Linda A. (Marcotte) Raymond

Linda A. (Marcotte) Raymond, 88, of Manning, South Carolina, formerly of Rhode Island, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at The Friendly Home, Woonsocket.

She was the wife of the late Gilbert Raymond who passed away in 2015. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alyre P. Marcotte and Regina (Morris) Marcotte.

For many years she worked as a secretary and then in sales. She loved gardening, reading, and animals, especially her beloved dogs. She was an active member of the RI African Violet Society for several years. In 2004, she and her late husband moved to South Carolina where she met and enjoyed the company of many cherished friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Stephen A. (Sirrah) Medeiros of Stafford, VA, Kara (Frank) John of Cape Coral, FL, Patricia Marcotte of Providence, RI, Kathleen Marcotte of Richmond, RI, Alicia Mattson of Poughkeepsie, NY, Maureen (Michael) Simao of Coventry, RI, and Peter J. Marcotte of Richmond, RI. And by several grand nieces and nephews, Kayleigh (Andre) Bucur, Stephen J. Medeiros, Elena (Logan) Medeiros, Nicholas (Ashley) John, Stephanie John, Teagan Mattson, Grace Marcotte, Aidan Simao, and Liam Marcotte. She was the sister of the late Peter M. Marcotte and Margaret R. Medeiros.
