Lillian G. (Senerchia) Colvin, 93, of Seven Mile Road, Hope, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Saint Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich.
She was the beloved wife of the late Earl H. Colvin; they had been married for over 64 years upon his passing in 2017. Born in West Warwick, the daughter of the late Angelo and Alice (Schadeck) Senerchia.
Lillian wrote for The Times Newspaper before her sons were born. Once she became a mother, Lillian’s greatest joy was being a homemaker and welcoming family and friends into her home for parties and celebrations that highlighted her love of cooking and entertaining.
Lillian will be remembered by those who loved her as someone who loved music and dancing and gathering around her table to share a cup of coffee and visit.
She leaves two sons, Dwight D. Colvin of Hope and Barry D. Colvin and his wife, Trisha Torres of Rehoboth, MA: three grandsons, Daniel, Christopher and Nicholas Colvin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Ralph G. Senerchia and Robert Senerchia.
Funeral services and interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
Lillian also shared her home with many rescued dogs and cats over the years. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, contributions to The Potter League for Animals (www.potterleague.org) in her memory would be appreciated. Information and condolences please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com.
