BRINDAMOUR, Lilla M. (Roy), 82, of Hope, previously of West Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Providence, daughter of the late Peter and Wilhelmina (Gelli) Roy.
Known as Lee to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, David C. Brindamour, who was her high school sweetheart and partner in life throughout sixty years of marriage.
Before marriage and children, Lee began her career as a stenographer at The Pentagon supporting the Secretary to the Navy in 1956. She was named Outstanding Private Secretary by staff and peers before returning to Rhode Island to start her family. Lee was an active member of the Christ the King choir for many years, leader of a local Girl Scout troop, enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband she leaves three daughters, Robin E. Brindamour, Rebecca J. Treco and Dawn M. Brindamour and three grandchildren – Shane, Dylan, and Ella.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 pm in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a funeral home service at 1:00 pm followed by a burial procession to Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, RI Chapter, 300 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 101, Warwick, RI 02888 in her memory.
