Obituary
RUGGIERO, Lawrence J., 79, of West Warwick passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 in HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James and Myrtle (Dodd) Ruggiero. He resided in Providence before moving to West Warwick in 1990.
Mr. Ruggiero was a custodian for the former Rhode Island State General Hospital, now Eleanor Slater Hospital in Cranston for twenty-five years before retiring in 1994. He was a Vietnam War Air Force Veteran.
He is survived by two sisters, Lorraine M. MacLeod and Georgianna M. Huntley both of Westerly and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 11:00-11:45 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by interment with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
