Kathleen 'Kathy' M. (Prayzner) Bolcon

BOLCON, Kathleen M. ‘Kathy’ (Prayzner), 76, of Acres of Pine Road, Coventry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter J. Bolcon, they had been married for fifty-four years upon his passing in 2019.  Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (Burke) Prayzner.  She resided on Johnson’s Pond for over forty years.

Kathy was employed in medical billing with Lifespan for fifteen years until retiring in 2021.  She enjoyed spending time with family, watching football on Sunday’s with her family, an avid reader and a communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church.  She enjoyed the summer weekends at her home on the pond where her children and grandchildren along with many family friends came by to spend time at the house and on the water.  In her younger days she water skied and drove her children skiing.  As she got older she enjoyed being a passenger on a ride around the pond or as an observer for whoever was skiing at the time.

She is survived by two children, Walter C. Bolcon and his wife Stephanie of Coventry and Dawn C. Degnan and her husband John of Coventry; two grandsons, Nicholas and Alexander Bolcon and two siblings, Janice Connell of Somerset, MA and William Prayzner of Fall River, MA.  She was the sister of the late Walter Prayzner

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 8:30-10:30 am in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside.
