Joseph A. Mansour, 74 of West Warwick, passed away surrounded by his loving family Sunday evening, May 5, 2024 at home.
He was the beloved husband of Salley S. (Slade) Mansour. They had been married for fifty-four years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Anthony and Emma (D’Ambra) Mansour. He was a lifelong resident of the Pawtuxet Valley area.
Mr. Mansour was employed with Stanley Bostitch in East Greenwich for thirty-two years before retiring in 2010. He was an avid golfer where he was a member of West Warwick Country Club and a loyal New York Yankee’s fan but most importantly he loved his grandkids and was affectionately referred to as “Papa Joe”.
Besides his wife he leaves two children, Joseph A. Mansour, Jr. (Amy Guldhauge) of Coventry and Christine E. Tattrie (Benjamin) of Coventry; four grandchildren, Matthew Mansour, Nicholas D’Ambra, Alexander Mansour and Brianna D’Ambra and two brothers, Anthony Mansour, Jr. and Michael E. Mansour.
His funeral will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 8:45 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick followed by interment in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 in his memory would be appreciated.
