Jose A. Gouveia

GOUVEIA, Jose A., 82, of Westcott Terrace, 319 Providence Street, West Warwick, formerly of Jambray Avenue, Warwick passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.  

He was the beloved husband of the late Maria T. (Ledo) Gouveia.  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel D. and Maria D. (Amaral) Gouveia.

Mr. Gouveia was a self-employed Masonry Contractor for many years until retiring.  He loved attending the Holy Ghost Society where he enjoyed playing dominoes and also enjoyed soccer.

He was the loving father of Joe Gouveia of Exeter, Sylvia Cacchiotti of Warwick and Lucy Costa, Carlos Gouveia, Anna Gouveia and Theresa Gouveia, all of West Warwick; cherished grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Antonio Gouveia and Maria Pacheco.    

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 9:15-10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.  Interment will be in SS.
