Jose C. Ledo

LEDO, Jose C., 83, of Market Street, West Warwick, passed away Sunday evening, August 23, 2020 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

He was the beloved husband of Maria (Costa) Ledo, they had been married for 63 years.  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores he was the son of the late Francisco and Angelina (Correia) Ledo.  He came to this country in 1971 and settled in West Warwick.

Jose was employed as a landscaper with Andy’s Nursery in Warwick for 25 years before retiring in 1995.  He loved gardening and enjoyed getting coffee on the weekend with his friend, Bobby.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Maria Bettez and her husband Kenny; three sons, Louie Ledo and his wife Debbie, August Ledo and his wife Kristen and Jose “Joe” Ledo and his wife Carla; daughter-in-law, Dolores Ledo; six grandchildren, Nicole, Bianca, Tyler, Zack, Jared and Dylan; five great grandchildren, Alexia, DJ, Nadia, Giovanni and Grayson and a brother, Antonio Ledo.  He was the father of the late Jose M. Ledo and brother of the late Silvia Amaral and Maria Gouvia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10:000 am in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick (RI COVID Guidelines will be followed).  Interment will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society in his memory would be appreciated.  Arrangements with PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home.  Information and condolences please visit www.PrataGallogly.com
