Jorge P. De Sousa

Jorge P. De Sousa, 84, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 27, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He was the beloved husband of the late Maria Lurdes (Calheta) Sousa, who passed away in 2005.  Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Adelino De Sousa and Maria DasMerces.

Mr. De Sousa was a machine operator with Leviton Manufacturing in Warwick for eighteen years until retiring in 2002.  He loved spending time with his family, his enjoyments included fishing, gardening and supporting his favorite soccer team, Sporting CP.

He is survived by two daughters, Maria A. Botelho and her husband Manny and Maria C. Greene and her husband Richard; four grandchildren, Karen Botelho, Melissa Bucci, Brian Botelho and Kaysi Greene and four great grandchildren, Owen, Jazlyn, Niccolo and Chase.  He was the beloved father of the late Mario Jorge De Sousa.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.  Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association, RI Chapter, One State Street, Suite 200, Providence, RI 02908 in his memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
