It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of John “Jack” Lauzon, age 94, who passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.
Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, on March 5, 1931, Jack was the son of the late Gabriel and Ann (Bordwell) Lauzon. He lived a life defined by dedication, devotion, curiosity, and a deep, abiding love for his family. A true gentleman, Jack was a beacon of wisdom whose faith, kindness, and love knew no bounds.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda. In May, Jack and Linda would have celebrated 50 years of a beautiful marriage, a testament to their enduring love, unwavering devotion, and cherished partnership. He also leaves behind his beloved daughter, Nicole Longo, and her husband, Mark, and the true joy of his life—his cherished granddaughter, Francesca—along with his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many dear nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, and treasured friends.
Jack devoted his professional career to Kent Hospital, where he served with distinction as the Administrative Director of Radiology for 32 years before retiring in 1999. His leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on colleagues and staff alike. In addition, Jack generously shared his knowledge and passion for education as a physics instructor in the X-ray program at the Community College of Rhode Island, where he mentored and inspired countless students.
In his spare time, Jack embraced a wide range of interests. A true lover of music, he taught himself to play a variety of instruments throughout his life. He was also a proud member of the Narragansett Gun Club and found great enjoyment in skeet shooting on weekends. Above all, Jack treasured time spent with his family—especially simple evenings filled with conversation and togetherness. He also had a deep passion for photography, lovingly capturing photos and videos at family gatherings and transforming them into meaningful keepsakes that will be cherished for generations to come.
Jack was predeceased by his sister Roberta LaChance, his brother William Lauzon, and his niece Lori Hart.
Jack will be fondly remembered for his warmth, creativity, and the quiet joy he found in preserving life’s most meaningful moments. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, devotion, and memories lovingly captured and shared. He will be forever loved by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
