John Sauco

John Sauco, 85, of East Greenwich, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.

He was the beloved husband of Jane E. (Sandner) Sauco, they had been married for twenty-eight years. Born in Grazzanise, Italy, a son of the late Salvatore and Vincenza (Palladino) Sauco.  He was a resident of Coventry before moving to East Greenwich in 1983.

John was the proprietor for many years of Unique-Jana, Inc. He served in the RI Army National Guard.  Woodworking, gardening and raising chickens were John's hobbies.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Sal Sauco and his wife Susan of East Greenwich, Veronica Sheridan and her husband Pat of East Greenwich, Mark Sauco and his wife Rene of Brooklyn, CT and Melinda Greene and her husband Steve of Coventry; four siblings, Biagio Sauco, Paul Sauco, Lillian Day and Anna Martone; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Frank Sauco, Betty McIntosh and Rose Zubee.

His funeral will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in SS. John & Paul Church, 341 S. Main Street, Coventry.  Interment will follow with military honors in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours Thursday, 4:00-7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, in his memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
