Jessica R. (Snyder) Wiggin, 63, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 21, 2025, at Kent Hospital, surrounded by love.
She was the devoted spouse of Peter Phelps, with whom she shared forty-one years of companionship, love, and cherished memories. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Jessica was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marilyn (Bothelo) Snyder. She resided in West Warwick for many years before making her home in Coventry in 1999.
Jessica’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured time spent with her children and took special delight in her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She found happiness in the simple comforts of home—working on puzzles, playing Monopoly Go on her cell phone, and enjoying quiet moments lounging in her pajamas. These small pleasures reflected her warm, easygoing spirit and her appreciation for life’s everyday joys.
In addition to her beloved spouse, she leaves her loving children, Robert Wiggin, Christina Young, and Christopher Wiggin and his wife Nia; her siblings, Kim Dugan and Donald “Dubba” Snyder; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever carry her love in their hearts. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond J. Snyder.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted, and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org in Jessica’s memory.
