Jeannine M. (Fontaine) Finnerty, 85, of Hope, passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning, February 2, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward F. Finnerty, who passed away in 2007. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Either) Fontaine. Jeannine was a longtime resident of Hope.
Jeannine was employed as an office clerk with Dun & Bradstreet for many years before retiring. She was an avid golfer and greatly enjoyed watching her beloved New England Patriots.
She is survived by her sister, Pauline Amato of West Warwick. She was the beloved mother of the late William J. Fontaine, Battalion Chief, Central Coventry Fire Department (Ret.).
Her funeral services will be private, and visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
