Jeanne (Dubuc) Chatelle

Jeanne (Dubuc) Chatelle, 77, of Coventry, passed away peacefully Monday, July 22, 2024 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

She was the beloved wife of Francis R. Chatelle for thirty-one years. Born in West Warwick, the daughter of the late Lucien and Theresa (Parenteau) Dubuc, Jeanne resided in Providence; 32 for 40, prior to moving to Coventry two years ago. Jeanne was a hot shit with a fast wit and an even faster mouth. She’d garden till she was dehydrated, loved golfing (always over par on the 19th hole), she’d sneak in and whack you with a 4 bid in any pitch game. And her cooking wasn’t bad for a little French girl.

Besides her husband, she’ll be terribly missed by her three children, Cathy Rasmussen of Eugene, OR, Jamie Glowacki of Chepachet, RI and Steven Glowacki and his wife Jamie of Cranston; two step-children, Christopher Chatelle and his wife Sandra and Lauren Chatelle; nine grandchildren; Elijah and Gabriel, Pascal, Danny, Amy, Hailey, and Erik, Emily, Abby, Katelyn, and Jennifer, Courtney, Christopher, and Madisen and two great grandchildren; Londyn and CJ, and three siblings, Sue Clement, Lucien Dubuc and Paul Dubuc.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, AUGUST 1, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by interment at 11:00 a.m. in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
