Jeananne H. (Sousa) Ducharme

Jeananne H. (Sousa) Ducharme, 86, of Harris Street, Coventry, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Kent Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Robert J. Ducharme, Sr. The two shared 53 years of marriage before his passing in 2015. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Lionel A.J. and Margaret L. (Johnson) Sousa. Jeananne made her home in Coventry for most of her life, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and community.

Mrs. Ducharme was employed for many years as a sales executive with Victor Electric before her retirement. In addition, she was a dedicated AVON Representative for many years, a role she truly enjoyed because it allowed her to connect with so many people in her community.

A woman of deep faith, Jeananne was a former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in West Warwick and later a devoted member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Coventry, where she participated in the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She found great joy in offering comfort and care to others through her faith and service.

Jeananne treasured time spent with her family above all else. She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life, including reading, knitting, sewing, and quilting. She was also an enthusiastic card player and took great pride in tending to her garden.

She leaves behind her loving children: Robert J. Ducharme, Jr. of Coventry; Renee Farland and her husband, Bryan, of Coventry; and Robyn Senerchia and her husband, Chris, of West Warwick. She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Cameron, Devin, Cody, Haley, and Brooklyn. She was also the sister of the late Margaret Lavoie and Maryann Sousa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry. Interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
