Jean E. (Gavek) Moore

MOORE, Jean E. (Gavek), 80, formerly of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Lemay) Gavek.  She was a resident of Coventry for many years.

Jean was an administrative assistant with Hoechst Celanese Chemical Company in Coventry for twenty-nine years before retiring.  She was a communicant of SS. John & Paul Church where she was a member of the Rosary Guild and volunteered with the church’s Angels Workshop that knitted, quilted and made homemade crafts for the bazaar.  Jean loved knitting and sewing and was a member of the Flat River Quilters.

She is survived by four children, Timothy Moore of Pawtucket, Scott Moore of Allentown, PA, Robyn LaRoche and her husband Michael of Coventry and Kevin Moore of Seattle, WA; two brothers, Raymond Gavek and Robert Gavek both in Florida and five grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Victoria Moore, Michael, Andrew and Angela LaRoche.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in SS.
