James Donald “Robbe” Robertson, 84, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday morning, October 27, 2025.
He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Tatro) Robertson. They shared thirty-two wonderful years of marriage. Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Bernard A. and Ruth (Keegan) Robertson and was a lifelong resident of the Pawtuxet Valley.
A proud veteran, Robbe honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he was employed for many years as a batch maker at Hoechst Chemical Company in Coventry, retiring in 1994.
Robbe cherished time spent with his family and was known for his warm heart and easy laugh. He was also an avid duckpin bowler and enjoyed the camaraderie of the sport throughout his life.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Donald J. Robertson and his wife Ann, and Matthew B. Robertson; five cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Morgan, James, Sean, and Daniel; and six siblings, Margaret Webster, Kevin Robertson, Steven Robertson, Bonnie Lawrence, Shawn Robertson, and Chris Robertson. He was the brother of the late Mike Robertson.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by inurnment with military honors at 12:30 p.m. in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
